All of us as children have been fascinated by everything relevant to space and its planets, and now our children can have that curious moment to learn what is inside our solar system. In school they are already beginning to learn the planets and we from home we can give that little reinforcement showing them something else in a fun way.
Curiosity is what still shows them that they can learn far beyond their ability to learn, and doing it with games makes that capacity even greater. We can buy craft games or discover fun applications for children to learn while playing.
Teach the solar system in a fun way
Any age is good for children to get to know the planets of our solar system, it is only to adapt the teaching to the level of ability of each child. In one of our articles we already explained how they can learn while having fun. Here we propose other ways that you may also like:
A mounting kit to build the solar system
This fun game will make the family have a very fun afternoon. It is made up of pieces and paints to paint and build. Designed to build the solar system in 3 dimensions and make it real by painting it with glow-in-the-dark tempera, and then hanging on a structure that will show the planets to scale in size and distance.
Educational videos
There are educational videos that we can have at our fingertips so that they can learn in detail the solar system. With images and music everything is memorized much better and children like this type of animation because it amuses them.
Homemade crafts
We give you two ideas of original crafts made by hand and with easy-to-find materials. Both are mobiles that require few materials and that will make it possible to decorate the child's room. In this way their work will be reflected and each time they see it they remember where all the planets are positioned.
Applications for new technologies
StarWalk: is an amazing application by design. With it you can visualize in real time all the stars and planets that we can visualize from the earth. Once the application is downloaded, we hope to have a clear sky and that it is at night. We point our mobile or tablet towards the sky and it will show us through the screen the entire sky in real time with everything you can see at that moment. This application has its version for children called Star Walk: Astronomy for children.
SolarWalk: This application also makes you deepen your knowledge of our solar system but in 3D. You will be able to visualize moons, satellites, comets, asteroids and especially the planets and what I like the most is that it can be seen in real time.
Cosmolander: is another proposal where you enter into the solar system with the voice of a narrator. Besides, it comes with a game so that the children have to complete some missions uploaded in their spaceship.
Other ways we can take advantage of is entering some of our web pages on the internet that explains in a simple way how our solar system is organized. We can see it in educa-science that explains step by step each of the elements that compose it.
Visits to museums or planetariums It is also another of the proposals that they like. Children like little outings and discovering that there are places that can show you our solar system is the best choice.
Although for a better proposal we have our own night sky. Make an exit to the outside and choosing a key day with a rain of stars or a strategic position of a star will leave no excuses. Equip yourself with a telescope and enjoy the wonders of the sky.
