Group dynamics

Examples of dynamic games

Group dynamics are a set of knowledge that starts from a theory and is made up of tools in the form of techniques aimed at groups. This allows us to get to know all the members more closely, but also guides us towards how to manage said group, increase its productivity and improve internal relationships, as well as increase the fun of everyone.

So we can say that you are dynamic contribute to facilitate interaction between group members. In such a way that a collective dimension is developed and the social skills of the individual are reinforced. The use of group dynamization techniques in minors seeks as an objective that they be the protagonists of their own socialization process.

What are group dynamics in education

They can be translated as methods to put on the table the participation, creativity and the development of a critical spirit. In such a way that through these dynamics used, the ability to work in groups can be stimulated. Something that is really necessary, first at school but later talking about the world of work. According to scientists, it easier to modify the customs of a small group dealt with together that change the behavior of its members taken one by one. This corroborates that group habits are not static but live and dynamic processes that come from a set of casual forces.

Group dynamics

As a discipline, it studies the forces affecting group behavior, beginning by analyzing the group situation as a whole. From all this can arise both knowledge and understanding. It is a way to continue developing skills, at the same time that it gives us the opportunity to get to know each other a little better and not only individually.

What are the great benefits?

We cannot avoid mentioning them little by little because when we are faced with such a vital help as group dynamics, the advantages come by themselves.

  • It will give them more security and self-confidence.
  • They will learn new concepts and even new information about themselves.
  • More communication and also socialization.
  • Does it get learnt from mistakes and the resolution of them can be done in an easier way by being in a group.
  • The tasks are divided in each participant but not only them but also the tastes or even the feelings.

Benefits of dynamics in teaching

What dynamics can be done in a group

There are many ideas that we can put into practice when we talk about group dynamics. Because although we are dedicated to the little ones in the house, it is true that this type of technique can also be performed with adults. Especially in the work environment, it is quite common. That said, we leave you with a series of examples that you can adapt depending on the group:

  • A challenge: in a box there will be several folded papers. In each of them there will be written a challenge that the child who has drawn said paper has to fulfill. It can be singing a song, giving a piece of clothing or asking another member of the group a curious question.
  • Mimicry: is one of the ideas that we should always keep in mind. Because in addition to being a creative exercise, developing the imagination, it is also perfect for talking about fun. In this case, one partner will give another an imaginary gift and has to explain what it is through mimicry.
  • guess songs: another of the most liked is this game. It is about putting music, of those most famous songs, but without lyrics. So whoever is faster to raise their hand and get it right will get a point. So the one who guesses the most and has the most points will be the winner.
  • Who is who?: It is one of the games that we also have in board form. Various images of animals, objects, etc. are needed. Through the questions you have to guess who it is. If you don't have a board, you can always do it by means of photos that you will paste on cardboard. A player takes a card and has to show it to the others but he cannot see it himself. Through the questions you will have to guess what it is.

How to make a fun group dynamic

The truth is that all dynamics can be the most fun. Because each of them will bring a touch of humor and learning in equal parts. But if you want to know which ones your students or children can enjoy the most, then we will once again give you a series of ideas that you should put into practice:

  • dice with pictures: you can make two or three dice and place an image on each face, both animals, objects or whatever you want. The dice will be thrown together and you have to make a story with the images that come out. But beware, because in this case, the stories have to be continued. It is not useful for each one to tell an individual story but it will be one for the whole group. Hence, the fun will be guaranteed by giving it new turns or outcomes.
  • Truths and lies: Each player has to say three sentences out loud. Two of them have to be true and one lie. They can be about things related to your tastes or your life, so that they are much more credible, although not all of them are.
  • blind drawings: Another of the most widespread technique is this. It is played in pairs and each of the members needs a marker and a sheet of paper. One is placed in front of another. The one who is behind, has to support the sheet on the back of his partner and start drawing what he wants. The one in front has to try to discover what he is drawing just by feeling the movements on his back and recreating them on paper. How many will get it right?
  • The animals in the barnyard: A player is chosen to be the farmer and his eyes are covered. The rest sit in a circle. The farmer has to go and touch a player. This has to recreate an animal sound and if the farmer to the player who emits said sound, then he will become the farmer.
