Games are a must for young children. They will play independently or in parallel, without having to socialize to learn from others. Young children play together but not scrambled, and that is not bad at all. The stages of play are important and necessary for the social development of children, but there are other types of games that are also essential for the child's maturity.
Games develop as a child begins to participate in cooperative play and include different types.
Fantasy games
In fantasy games, children like to dress up and role-play. They can be doctors, teachers or waiters. Through this type of game, children learn to cooperate, they learn to play in turns, to share and increase their vocabulary considerably. Through role play children also learn how society in general works.
Competitive games
Children love to compete. Rules and turns, operating instructions are great lessons that teach kids a lot. So parents must know how to guide their children to learn to win and also to lose, tolerating frustration well.
Physical games
Gross and fine motor skills really need to be developed through play. Either playing ball or riding a bike. Physical play encourages children to be active and on the go. Perfect for burning all the energy of young children.
Constructive games
Forms of constructive play include playing with blocks, making driveways, building fortresses with sofa cushions. Constructive play teaches children about manipulation, construction, and handling of objects. Cognitive skills are used to figure out how to make things work for the better.
