The district of Arganzuela is finalizing the details for a new edition of the La Melonera Festivities, which will hold its main event from Thursday, September 4th to Sunday, September 7th, on the esplanade of the Madrid Río fairgrounds. The event returns to its usual format, turning this location into the nerve center of the celebration.
The programming is designed for all audiences, with cultural, sports and family proposals, and a musical lineup featuring Camela and Nacha PopFrom the Municipal Council, Councilor Lola Navarro emphasizes the reunion nature of these festivities, which are part of the neighborhood's identity.
Dates, location and scope of the program
The official calendar is developed September 4st – 7th at the fairgrounds of the Madrid Río Esplanade, in Arganzuela. In addition, activities are planned, starting on Monday the 1st and continuing throughout the month, with events spread across various locations in the district.
All announced activities are free and open access until capacity is reached, so it is advisable to arrive early to the most popular events.

Concerts and DJ sessions
The musical section will bring together historical bands and popular artists, with night hours y sessions for different tastesBelow is the planned schedule for live performances and DJs:
- Thursday 4: opening with Santa Esencia and, at 22: 00 pm, Javier Ojeda (Invisible Dance).
- Friday 5: Entreduendes will warm up the atmosphere before Nacha pop, which will perform at 22: 00 pm.
- Saturday 6: night dedicated to techno-rumba with Camela at 22: 00 pm.
- Sunday 7th: closing at 21: 30 pm with Bendecida and her tribute to Heroes of Silence.
To complete the evenings there will be DJ sessions led by Varoc and Vaquero, with a musical selection for different audiences throughout the night.
Cultural, family and religious activities
The program includes a broad agenda with workshops, children's games, folk dances and family shows, as well as exhibitions, displays, conferences and sports activities designed for all age groups.
There will be no shortage of Fireworks nor the meetings for seniors, in a participatory program that combines tradition and contemporary proposals.
